Tapas culture
Going out for tapas is a way of life in Andalusia. Cured ham, cheese, marinated olives, anchovies, gazpacho and salmorejo in summer, with an ice-cold draught beer or a glass of Málaga wine to go with them.
Where to go
- Mijas Pueblo: charming bars on calle Málaga, calle San Sebastián and around Plaza de la Constitución.
- Las Lagunas: neighbourhood bars, breakfasts and tapas at affordable prices.
- La Cala and the coast: beach bars, perfect for sunset.
Many bars serve a tapa with each drink or offer full and half portions to share.
