Chaparral: quiet beaches between La Cala and El Faro
Sand, rocks with cormorants and the Senda Litoral coastal path: discover the coast of Chaparral, one of the quietest corners of Mijas.

Chaparral is the coastal area stretching between La Cala and El Faro, with residential developments on both sides of the dual carriageway and direct access to the sea.
Its beaches
Playa de El Chaparral is a sandy beach, with rocks just offshore where cormorants perch:

Towards La Cala, the coastline continues along Playa de Las Doradas.
Along the coast on foot
The Senda Litoral de Mijas coastal path follows this stretch of coast, allowing you to walk or cycle from beach to beach. Head east to reach the Faro de Calaburras lighthouse.
El Chaparral Golf Club is set in the hills. Find out more about Chaparral.
